The Armenian Guides Guild, the first professional union in Armenia, created by the professional guides with long-term operational experience in tourism, is celebrating its 10th anniversary today. The fertile activity of the Guild for 10 years is especially distinguished by 3 points:
1) The Guild School is the first professional school of a tourist guide in Armenia (2005), the purpose of which is to transfer the universal knowledge and skills of the profession of a tourist guide to a new generation.
2) The Guild was awarded the Gold Medal (2009) by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, for its active work in the development of tourism in Armenia.
3) Opening of the international training center WFTGA in Yerevan (2014). Within the framework of cooperation between the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA), AGG and YSU (Yerevan State University) with the assistance of the Ministry of Economy, Armenia represents the only one in the region and the third in the world center for qualifying tourist guides according to international standards.
Our congratulations to all experienced, novice, motivated and active members of the Guild on the 10th anniversary of our trade union. We wish you good health and productive activity in our exciting and very responsible profession.
Best regards
