On February 21, World Guide Day, the Guild and "Kenats Tun" NGO organized an excursion to Echmiadzin for children from socially disadvantaged families from the city of Gyumri.

AGG conducts a four-month training course for future guides according to the standards of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA). Beginning February 15, 2010

September 28, 2009. The Armenian Guides Guild was awarded Golden Medal from the Ministry of Economy of Armenia

In April 2009 AGG organized professional training course for currently operating tourist guides to help them improve their professional skills.

At the beginning of January 2009. the AGG participated in the 13th convention of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA) in Bali. At a meeting of delegates, the Armenian Guides Guild submitted an application to host the next WFTGA convention in Armenia.
